In a west Phoenix apartment on June 7, 2025, the life of 20-year-old Kendre Pride was tragically cut short. Responding to a report of shots fired at approximately 5:10 p.m. near 32nd and Glendale avenues, Phoenix police officers discovered the young man inside an apartment, having sustained at least one gunshot wound. Despite the arrival of emergency services, Pride was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The initial stages of the investigation were handled by homicide detectives who
immediately began to piece together the events that led to the fatal shooting. The Phoenix Police Department issued a public appeal for information, encouraging anyone with knowledge of the incident to come forward and contact Silent Witness, offering the possibility of a reward for tips leading to an arrest. The community was left in a state of shock and grief over the violent loss of a young life.
Following an investigation by homicide detectives, two suspects were identified in connection with the death of Kendre Pride. On June 9, 2025, 33-year-old Trevonne Walker was arrested. Subsequently, on July 21, 2025, a second suspect, 26-year-old Jajuan Ingraham, was also taken into custody. Both men face charges of armed robbery and murder. Authorities have stated that they are not searching for any other individuals in relation to this homicide investigation.
