On July 29, 2022, around 1:30 p.m., Phoenix police responded to a local hospital after receiving information that a male had been dropped off with a gunshot injury. The victim, identified as 17-year-old Hector Matthew Pena-Dominguez, was in critical condition but ultimately died from his injuries.
