On a Friday afternoon in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, the life of 42-year-old Roy Lamar Curry Jr. was tragically cut short. On June 20, 2025, while at his job at a car detailing shop on Skyland Boulevard, Curry was shot multiple times. Despite attempts to save him, his injuries proved fatal, and he died at the scene. The male victim’s death prompted a swift investigation by the Tuscaloosa Police and the Violent Crimes Unit.
