Bobby Guss, 26, a man shot to death in Las Vegas on Friday night, January 11, 2008, was found in an alley just north of the 6400 block of Casada Way, near Torrey Pines Avenue and Charleston Boulevard. He was pronounced dead after the gunfire erupted around 10 p.m., marking the most serious injury among multiple people struck in the same incident. Two teenagers, ages 16 and 17, and a 20-year-old man were also hit; they survived with wounds that police described as not life-threatening.
Detectives said they were looking for two assailants who fled on foot from the alley before climbing into a 1990s Chevrolet Silverado extended-cab pickup, described as brown or copper with a light-colored center stripe. A witness told police that one suspect, believed to be Hispanic, stood about 5 feet 9 inches and wore a gray hooded sweatshirt; investigators asked the public for tips but did not identify where Guss was from. No subsequent reporting indicated an arrest or publicly identified suspect connected to Guss’s killing.
