In the summer of 2025, the life of 45-year-old Jennifer Kay Vree Ingram was tragically cut short in her Eastaboga, Alabama mobile home. On August 4th, she was found deceased, a victim of gun violence.
The subsequent investigation into her death quickly pointed to a suspect with whom she had a personal connection. James Justin Watts Hayes, a 36-year-old man from Lincoln, was identified as the individual responsible for Jennifer's death.
Investigators determined that Hayes and Ingram had been in a relationship. It was also revealed that Hayes had a history of domestic violence and was, at the time of the shooting, out on bond for a burglary charge.
A few days following the discovery of Jennifer's body, on a Wednesday, law enforcement agencies located and arrested Hayes in Calera. He was subsequently charged with the murder of Jennifer Kay Vree Ingram. Following his arrest, his bond was set at $250,000.
