Mack Fowler, a 72-year-old Caucasian male from Columbus, Mississippi, was found murdered in his home on July 9, 1996. Fowler had invited a guest into his residence the night before, and at some point, a violent altercation ensued. The struggle moved from the front of the house to the back, where Fowler was ultimately stabbed and beaten to death.
