Martha Sue Young, a 23-year-old woman from East Lansing, Michigan, was tragically killed on January 1, 1977. She had been in a relationship with Donald Gene Miller, a man who would later become known as the East Lansing Serial Killer. Young had initially accepted Miller’s marriage proposal in late 1976 but broke off the engagement in December of that year. On New Year's Eve, 1977, she met with Miller, and during the early hours of the morning, he assaulted and strangled her.
