In the summer of 2024, the life of 30-year-old Shanquice 'Que Que' Love, a Black/African American woman from Flint, Michigan, was tragically cut short. On the afternoon of July 21, in the parking lot of the Travel Inn on South Dort Highway, Love was shot and killed. Another individual was also injured during the violent encounter.
Remembered for her vibrant personality, Love was a dedicated mother to her seven children.
She enjoyed fishing, singing, and, most of all, spending cherished time with her kids, siblings, and extended family. Her sudden and violent death sent shockwaves through her community, leaving her loved ones to grapple with an immense and unexpected loss.
In the wake of the shooting, the Flint Police Department launched an investigation into the homicide. Authorities sought assistance from the public, with Crime Stoppers of Flint & Genesee County offering a cash reward of $2,500 for any information that would lead to an arrest in the case.
