In the summer of 2024, the life of 30-year-old Shanquice 'Que Que' Love, a Black/African American woman from Flint, Michigan, was tragically cut short. On the afternoon of July 21, in the parking lot of the Travel Inn on South Dort Highway, Love was shot and killed. Another individual was also injured during the violent encounter.
