In the late spring of 2025, the life of 27-year-old Shaquice Grear, a Black woman from Flint, Michigan, was tragically cut short. On the evening of May 25th, Grear was involved in an altercation that ended in gunfire. She sustained a gunshot wound and was rushed to a local hospital for treatment. Despite medical efforts, Shaquice Grear succumbed to her injuries five days later, on May 30, 2025. Her death was ruled a homicide, leaving her family and community in mourning.
