In the early morning hours of August 15, 2021, the life of Yanisha Monique Edwards, a 28-year-old Black/African American female from Flint, Michigan, was tragically cut short. At approximately 3:40 a.m., Flint Police Department officers responded to the vicinity of Lapeer Road and Howard Avenue where they discovered Yanisha with gunshot wounds.
