Liddie Matthew Evans, a 31-year-old woman, was murdered on December 17, 1977. Although she was originally from Flint, Michigan, her death occurred in Georgia. Her body was discovered on December 20, 1977, in Fayette County, Georgia. She had been shot in the head, stuffed into a sleeping bag, and her leg was chained to a concrete block before being dumped in the Flint River. Investigators suspected foul play from the beginning, but the case remained unsolved for over two decades.
