In the early morning of April 27, 2025, on Flint's west side, Luv'ina Markia McCann, age 18 and female, was shot and killed near a home in the 2600 block of Thomas Street.
Police placed the time of the gunfire at about 2:05 a.m. As friends were leaving an after-prom house party, Luv'ina was riding in the back seat of a car when bullets struck her, and she died at the scene.
