On the night of April 27th, at approximately 10:20 p.m., Webster answered a knock at her residence in the Skyline Parc apartment complex, located near Cambridge Street and Twain Avenue. She allowed at least one individual into the apartment she shared with other tenants.
Shortly after the visitor or visitors entered, gunshots rang out.
Webster's roommates rushed to the sound and found her lying in the doorway, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The assailant or assailants had already fled the scene. Emergency services were called, and Webster was transported to the nearby Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center's trauma unit. Despite the efforts of medical personnel, she succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead.
