In a downtown Las Vegas apartment, a tragic scene unfolded, marking the end of a troubled relationship. On March 12, 2022, 50-year-old Jennifer Lopez was found deceased in her residence at the Fremont9 apartment complex. Her employer had grown concerned after she had been absent from work for several days, prompting a neighbor to check on her, leading to the grim discovery.
Investigators from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department determined that Lopez was the victim of a
murder-suicide. Alongside her in the apartment was the body of 49-year-old Daniel McCullough. The evidence found at the scene, including the placement of the bodies and a weapon, led detectives to conclude that McCullough had shot and killed Lopez before taking his own life. The couple had been in a dating relationship and were living together at the time of the incident.
Neighbors later reported to authorities that they had heard an argument between Lopez and McCullough on the Tuesday prior to their bodies being discovered. This suggests that the fatal events likely occurred earlier in the week, and the two had been deceased for several days before being found.
