Death by Force

On July 18, 2016, the body of 61-year-old Kathleen Ploutz was found in the Lake Mead National Recreation Area near Boulder Basin in Las Vegas, Nevada. Ploutz had suffered multiple stab wounds, and her death was ruled a homicide by the Clark County Coroner's Office. She had been discovered by National Park Service rangers after being reported missing, and the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department took over the investigation.
