On January 14, 2025, Jaquad Malik Pearson, a 19-year-old male, was fatally shot in Charlotte, North Carolina. The incident occurred at approximately 7:30 p.m. in the 5600 block of Brookshire Boulevard. Officers from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department responded to an emergency call regarding an assault with a deadly weapon.
