On October 5, 2020, Yazeed Alsawalha, a 20-year-old male, was fatally shot in an apartment complex near the University of North Carolina at Charlotte . The incident occurred around 9:30 p.m. at the Arcadia Student Living Complex, located on Falling Waters Court.
