Jared Medina, a 24-year-old Hispanic male, was found deceased on a sidewalk in Las Vegas, Nevada, on the morning of January 5, 2017. Initially, first responders did not suspect foul play, believing the young man may have suffered from a drug overdose as there were no obvious signs of trauma. However, the following day, an autopsy revealed a more sinister cause of death: Jared had been shot in the back.
