In the late hours of a Friday night in the Bronx, a 38-year-old man named Alexis Sanchez was fatally shot, his life ending just a short distance from his own home. The incident occurred on March 28, 2025, in the Highbridge neighborhood. Responding to a 911 call shortly before midnight, police discovered Sanchez with a gunshot wound to his neck on West 165th Street, near Nelson Avenue.
Earlier that evening, Sanchez had been at a local deli down the block from his residence.
