On the evening of May 13, 2025, 23-year-old African American man Willie Palmer was fatally shot at Brookwood Apartments on Henderson Road in Roxboro, North Carolina. Emergency responders arrived at approximately 7:40 p.m. and found Palmer suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite receiving immediate medical attention at the scene, he succumbed to his injuries.
