Cornell Torian, a 20-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on February 20, 2017, in Roxboro, North Carolina. The incident occurred at Longhurst Park around 5:30 p.m. when an argument broke out between two individuals over tennis shoes. During the altercation, shots were fired, and Cornell Torian, who was an unintended victim, was struck and killed.
