On December 22, 2022, Harold LeRoy Williams, a 33-year-old man from Roxboro, NC, was found dead in the street from multiple gunshot wounds. The incident occurred in the 800 block of Lyle Street after Roxboro Police responded to a call about suspicious activity around 5 p.m. Williams, who was African American, was discovered with multiple gunshot wounds, and the police quickly launched an investigation.
