On the evening of May 13, 2025, 35-year-old African American male Jamael Truesdale was fatally shot at the intersection of Colleton Road and Oakwood Avenue in Raleigh, North Carolina. Raleigh police officers responded to the scene at approximately 8:29 p.m., where they discovered Mr. Truesdale suffering from a gunshot wound. He was promptly transported to a local hospital; however, despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries.
