On February 23, 2025, 33-year-old African American male Damion Reed was fatally shot in his home in Jackson, Mississippi. The incident occurred around 11:30 a.m. in the 5300 block of Brookhollow Drive. Authorities responded to the scene and pronounced Reed deceased upon arrival. The circumstances surrounding the shooting quickly led investigators to identify a suspect.
