Melvin Edwards, a 32-year-old male, died on June 13, 2026, after a shooting at an apartment complex in Jackson, Mississippi. Police were called around 5 p.m. to the 200 block of Rebel Woods Drive, at Pine Ridge Gardens Apartments, after receiving a report of a homicide. When officers arrived, they found Edwards suffering from a gunshot wound, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
