LaJarvis Ruffin, 30, a male who was Black/African American, was shot multiple times and killed on June 19, 2025, at the Park Springs Apartments on Shaw Road off Highway 80 in Jackson, Mississippi. Officers responding that Thursday night found LaJarvis Ruffin at the scene, and he was pronounced dead shortly after; early police updates shared no motive or suspect details as the investigation began.
