Stephen Matory, a 24-year-old member of the Mississippi National Guard, tragically lost his life on June 18, 2020, in Jackson, Mississippi. Matory was killed by a stray bullet during a confrontation at the Summer Park Apartments, an incident in which he was not involved. The bullet that ended his life was fired during a dispute between other individuals, making Matory an innocent bystander caught in the crossfire.
