Meredith 'Don' Moree, a 49-year-old man, lost his life in a tragic shooting on April 24, 1996, in Jackson, Mississippi. The incident, which unfolded at a fire station, was the result of a violent rampage by one of his colleagues. The gunman, also a firefighter, fatally shot Moree and three other fire department officials, in addition to his own wife, before taking his own life.
