On a warm December day in 2020, amidst the anxieties of a global pandemic, 22-year-old Oren D'Lonte Anderson was fatally shot in Jackson, Mississippi. The incident occurred on December 9th in the 2200 block of Sloane Street, a neighborhood in South Jackson familiar to Anderson.
