On a June evening in 2022, Kenneth Weathers, a 61-year-old man, was at a convenience store on Robinson Road in Jackson, Mississippi, when his life was tragically cut short. On June 16th, a man shot Weathers outside the store. For nearly two weeks, he fought for his life at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, but he ultimately succumbed to his injuries on Wednesday, June 29, 2022. His death marked the 71st homicide in the city that year.
