On a Wednesday afternoon in Jackson, Mississippi, the life of 23-year-old DeAnthony Snell was cut short in a sudden act of violence. The Black / African American male was standing outside a residence on the 1600 block of First Avenue on January 9, 2019, when a vehicle passed by. An unknown male suspect, wearing a dark-colored knit cap, opened fire from the passenger-side window of what witnesses described as a gold sedan, possibly a Toyota Camry.
