On the evening of Friday, April 10, 2026, the life of 33-year-old Leonard Banks was tragically cut short in a burst of gunfire at a gas station in Jackson, Mississippi. The incident occurred at approximately 7:56 p.m. in the 500 block of Cooper Road. When officers from the Jackson Police Department arrived at the scene, they discovered Banks lying on the sidewalk in front of the business, suffering from a single gunshot wound.
