JaDarius Mangum, a 29-year-old man from Jackson, Mississippi, was fatally shot on January 6, 2025, during a verbal disagreement with another individual. The incident occurred in the area of West Silas Brown Street, prompting Capitol Police to respond to the scene. Upon arrival, officers discovered JaDarius Mangum suffering from gunshot wounds. He was immediately transported to the University of Mississippi Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries two days later, on January 8, 2025.
