On a November morning in 2021, the life of 21-year-old William Devontev Tellis III was cut short in Jackson, Mississippi. Around 11 a.m. on November 8th, Tellis was shot multiple times on Capitol Street and succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The male victim's death quickly transitioned from a tragic event to a homicide investigation.
