In the winter of 2019, a disagreement in a Jackson, Mississippi street escalated into deadly violence, claiming the life of 38-year-old Julian Smith. On the night of Friday, January 5th, shots rang out, and when the chaos subsided, Smith had been fatally wounded. The gunfire was not only directed at Smith but also struck a nearby home, endangering others in the community.
