In the early morning hours of March 29, 2025, the lives of a family staying at an Extended Stay motel in Kansas City, Missouri, were irrevocably shattered. Inside their room, police would later discover the bodies of 38-year-old Maleeka Sessoms and her 42-year-old husband, Marvin Sessoms. Both had been fatally shot while they slept.
