On March 31, 2025, 60-year-old African American male Jerry Johnson was fatally shot in the Greater Ville neighborhood of St. Louis, Missouri. At approximately 1:35 a.m., officers from the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department responded to a call reporting a 'person down' in the 3000 block of North Newstead Avenue.
