In a heartbreaking turn of events, Aminah C. Johnson, a 29-year-old African American woman, and her fiancé, Derrick D. Rhodes, 31, were tragically killed in a shooting on March 31, 2025, in Kansas City, Missouri. Johnson, a mother to two young children, was also expecting a child with Rhodes.
