In the early morning hours of January 3, 2025, the life of Rebecka Lightner, a 37-year-old Caucasian woman, was tragically cut short in her Omaha, Nebraska, apartment. The day began with the sound of gunshots piercing the pre-dawn quiet near 71st Street and Jones Circle, prompting calls to law enforcement. When officers arrived, they discovered a grim scene inside one of the units; Rebecka Lightner had been fatally shot.
