Carrie A. Brown, a 48-year-old woman from Omaha, Nebraska, lost her life to gun violence on August 26, 2018. The incident occurred at her home near 189th and L Streets, where she was found shot to death.

At the time of Brown's death, her boyfriend, Craig Wiech, was a police officer with the Bellevue Police Department. Initially, Wiech claimed that Brown had shot herself. However, subsequent investigations revealed discrepancies in his account.
