Johnnesha Brown was a 23-year-old Black woman who had rebuilt her life after a devastating teenage car crash, only to be met by sudden violence on the night of November 4, 2014. Around 9 p.m., gunfire erupted near 45th Street and Grand Avenue in northeast Omaha, where she and her boyfriend, Stephen Arps, were sitting in a car outside her childhood home.
