On December 6, 2015, a tragic incident occurred in Omaha, Nebraska, resulting in the deaths of 2-year-old Kenacia Amerson-Straughn and her mother, 22-year-old Destacia Straughn. The perpetrator, Dontevous Loyd, allegedly kicked in the door of Straughn's apartment and opened fire, killing both the mother and daughter.
