Bryon Maurice Riley, a 38-year-old man, was fatally shot on December 31, 2024, in the Roseland neighborhood on Chicago's South Side. The incident occurred around 2:50 p.m. in the 11000 block of South State Street. According to reports, Riley was standing in the area when an unknown individual exited a white SUV and opened fire. He was struck once in the head and twice in the chest before collapsing. The shooter then got back into the vehicle and fled southbound on State Street.
