On September 14, 2014, 28-year-old African American male Charles Labon was fatally shot in Chicago's North Lawndale neighborhood. At approximately 1:50 p.m., while walking in the 4100 block of West 16th Street, a gray minivan approached, and an occupant opened fire, striking Labon.
