Vincent Cox-Hastings, a 23-year-old African American male, was fatally shot on April 30, 2019, in the West Garfield Park neighborhood of Chicago, IL. The incident occurred in the evening as Vincent stood with a 22-year-old man who was also struck by a bullet. Vincent was shot multiple times and succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The shooting took place in the 4000 block of West Van Buren Street, a location known for its high crime rates and gang activity.
