On February 16, 2023, Humberto Marin-Garcia, a 28-year-old man from Chicago, Illinois, was fatally shot while driving on the Stevenson Expressway, which is also known as Interstate 55. The incident occurred around 9:20-9:30 p.m. near Ashland Avenue or Lock Street.
