Ernest Franklin, a 30-year-old male of African American ethnicity, tragically lost his life on July 4, 2020, in Chicago, Illinois. He was one of four victims killed in a mass shooting incident in the Englewood neighborhood on the South Side of Chicago. The incident occurred during a large gathering in the street around 11:35 p.m., when four males approached and began shooting.
