Kamaree Burnett, a 17-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on May 2, 2021, in Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred in the West Garfield Park neighborhood, a community that has seen its share of violence. Kamaree was driving in the 4800 block of West Ferdinand Street around 3 p.m. when he was shot in the face by an assailant on the sidewalk.
