Mendoor L. Smith II, a 22-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on May 2, 2015, in Rock Island, Illinois. Born on February 27, 1993, in Moline, Illinois, Mendoor was the son of Stephanie Stevens and Mendoor L. Smith. He was a former resident of Waterloo, Iowa, and was known for his love of basketball and baseball. Mendoor's death was ruled a homicide, and he was remembered fondly by his family and friends during a memorial service held at Greater Antioch Baptist Church in Rock
