In the quiet evening of January 15, 2025, in Morrow, Georgia, the life of 18-year-old Caden Moss was tragically cut short. He and another young man, 20-year-old Jerome Franklin, were fatally shot near the entrance to Clayton State University on Trammell Road. The two were reportedly walking with two other individuals when an argument broke out, escalating to gunfire. The assailants fled the scene, leaving Moss and Franklin deceased from their injuries.
The initial investigation by the Clayton County Police Department suggested that the victims were acquainted with their attackers and that the shooting was not a random act of violence. Law enforcement officials announced the arrests of Marcello Tisdale, 17, Joel Guion, 17, Jaylen Cobbin, 21, Davion Alleyne, Kahmari Dials, 20, and Daisha Ryan. Investigators believe the group had orchestrated a robbery that ultimately led to the fatal shootings of Caden Moss and Jerome Franklin. The U.S. Marshals Service assisted in taking five of the suspects into custody without incident. Daisha Ryan was apprehended after being added to the Clayton County Sheriff's 'Top Ten Most Wanted' list.
